Winter Olympics

The 2026 Winter Olympics, officially known as the XXV Olympic Winter Games, will be held in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy, from February 6 to February 22, 2026. This marks the first time a Winter Olympics will be officially co-hosted by multiple cities, with Milan hosting the opening ceremony and many ice sports, while the snow and sliding events will take place in the mountainous regions near Cortina. The games will feature 116 events across 16 disciplines, including the debut of ski mountaineering, with the closing ceremony to be held in the historic Verona Arena.
